About the role
As an Automation Developer at EY's GDS Tax Technology team, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and integrating technology solutions to better serve clients and engagement teams. Your main responsibility will be to leverage VBA, SQL, and Python to craft cutting-edge solutions that address clients' business challenges effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain automated solutions using VBA for Excel and other Microsoft Office applications - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective VBA solutions with SQL - Estimate technical effort, work breakdown structure, risks, and solutions at a solution level - Create and maintain SQL queries and scripts to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases, including Microsoft Access and SQL - Conduct testing and debugging of VBA, SQL, and Power Query solutions to ensure high-quality deliverables - Knowledge on Python programming - Knowledge on reporting using Excel/Power BI - Document technical specifications, design patterns, and user guides to support application scalability and knowledge transfer - Collaborate with various data sources to ensure data integrity and accessibility - Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in VBA, SQL, Python, and Power Query technologies Qualifications Required: - Bachelors / masters degree in software engineering / information technology / MBA / MCA - 0 2 years of experience - Thorough knowledge of Tax or Finance Domain - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of Python and Power Query - Familiarity with Copilots (M365) and Gen AI concepts At EY Global Delivery Services (GDS), you will be part of a dynamic and global delivery network that offers fulfilling career opportunities across various business disciplines.
