About the role
As a Specialist II, Data Analyst at EY, you will have the opportunity to leverage data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions and enhance operational efficiency. Your role will involve structuring complex business requests into analytical projects, analyzing large datasets from various sources, and developing automated reporting solutions to facilitate data accessibility and decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, translate requirements into analytical projects, and drive end-to-end execution with structured problem-solving. - Gather, clean, and validate structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in data processing. - Perform deep-dive analysis and statistical modeling to identify trends, correlations, and business drivers, enabling data-backed decision-making. - Design visually compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to simplify complex data for business users. - Automate recurring reporting and analytics workflows using SQL and Python to reduce manual efforts and enhance data accessibility. - Implement predictive models, clustering techniques, and forecasting algorithms to support business strategy, risk assessment, and operational planning. - Collaborate with data engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to enhance data architecture, ensuring seamless data integration and availability. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the analytics team. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, or business intelligence. - Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, IT, or a Bachelors in Statistics/Mathematics. - Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction, and performance optimization. - Expertise in Python or R for data manipulation, automation, and advanced analytics. - Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to create interactive reports. - Hands-on experience with core AWS services for data processing and orchestration (Lambda, S3, Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge).
