We are looking for a MEE Controls Engineer who will design, maintain, and optimize automated control systems to ensure the precise, reliable, and safe operation of lens manufacturing equipment. The role supports production efficiency and high-quality output through technical expertise, innovation, and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities:
· Designs, programs, maintains, and optimizes PLC and HMI control systems for lens manufacturing equipment.
· Troubleshoots and resolves automation and control system issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.
· Integrates and supports sensors, drives, actuators, and industrial communication networks.
· Collaborates with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance and process efficiency.
· Supports equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and validation activities.
· Maintains accurate control system documentation, electrical diagrams, and technical records.
· Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and cleanroom standards.
· Participates in continuous improvement and automation projects to enhance productivity and equipment reliability.
· Provides technical support and basic troubleshooting training to operators and technicians.

Professional Competencies
Technical Skills
Proficient in PLC and HMI programming and industrial automation systems.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication networks and electrical schematics.
Problem-Solving
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve control system issues efficiently.
Skilled in root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions.
Attention to Detail
Maintains accurate technical documentation and follows established procedures.
Collaboration & Communication
Works effectively with cross-functional teams and communicates technical information clearly.
Adaptability
Keeps up with emerging automation technologies and adapts to changing production requirements.
Safety Awareness
Ensures compliance with electrical safety standards, cleanroom protocols, and workplace safety practices.
Specific Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC and HMI programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in industrial automation systems, including sensors, drives, and communication networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
Experience in equipment commissioning, validation, and control system optimization to improve reliability and efficiency.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
Exposure to precision manufacturing, cleanroom operations, or highly automated production environments is an advantage.
Proven experience collaborating with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to support operational goals.
Familiarity with CMMS and other maintenance documentation systems for work order management and record-keeping.
