As a Security Administrator II at SSOE's dynamic IT team in Mumbai, you will play a critical role in managing the organizations IT security infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include implementing policies and tools to protect against threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches. Your advanced technical expertise, ownership of core systems, and proactive approach to security and innovation will be essential for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Implement, administer, and continuously improve enterprise security technologies and controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST and CIS to reduce organizational risk and strengthen overall security posture. - Administer, configure, and monitor Microsoft security platforms including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Entra ID security capabilities. - Perform day-to-day security operations including alert triage, investigation, containment, and incident response using enterprise detection and response tools. - Maintain security telemetry and logging pipelines, ensuring critical data sources are properly onboarded for adequate security visibility. - Administer endpoint security controls using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including device onboarding, security policy management, compliance monitoring, and Threat & Vulnerability Management activities. - Support identity and access security initiatives, including deployment and maintenance of modern strong authentication and conditional access solutions. - Assist with security assessments and reviews of infrastructure, applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud services. - Implement and maintain secure configuration baselines and system hardening standards across enterprise platforms. - Support the protection of organizational data by monitoring for data exfiltration risks, unauthorized data access, and policy violations. - Collaborate with various teams to integrate security controls into operational processes and ensure consistent security practices across platforms. - Stay current on evolving cyber threats, Microsoft security capabilities, and industry best practices. Qualifications: - Associates or bachelors degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of experience administering and securing environments using Microsoft security technologies. - Advanced expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and identity governance controls. - Proven experience securing Microsoft Azure workloads using Microsoft-native security services and best practices. - Deep understanding of identity and authentication protocols implemented within Microsoft platforms. - Advanced proficiency in scripting tools to automate security configurations. - Experience responding to security incidents, performing investigation and forensics, and implementing corrective and preventive security actions. - Highly self-motivated, with attention to detail and leadership capabilities for mentoring junior team members. In addition, this is a permanent full-time remote role for US shifts, specifically from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST.
