Role Overview: Join the team at Vestas in driving the energy transition and helping customers avoid 1.7 billion tons of carbon emissions. If you are passionate about building software solutions, leading software architecture for large and complex systems, and promoting best-practice development, this role as a Software Architect for Turbine Software is perfect for you. As part of the Product Applications and Controls R&D team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing industry-leading software capabilities within the renewable energy sector. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of scalable and maintainable turbine software systems - Translate business and technical requirements into clear architectural solutions and development guidelines - Write high-quality, testable code, analyze complex codebases, and implement fixes - Collaborate across engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, integration, and adherence to SLAs - Provide expert troubleshooting and operational support, maintaining comprehensive technical documentation - Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes, tools, and developing utilities supporting operations and maintenance Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline - 5+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance - General knowledge or experience in Secure Product Development or Cyber Security is beneficial - ISTQB Software Testing Certification is an advantage - Ability and motivation to understand complex technical domains and system behaviors - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines or DevOps environments - Proficiency with industry tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps - Demonstrated experience as a Testing/QA Lead within an Agile software development organization Company Details: Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, focusing on transforming the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures, and delivers its products.
