About the role
As a CMDB Asset Management Specialist at State Street, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle, accuracy, and integrity of IT asset and configuration data within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), primarily on the ServiceNow platform. Your role will be crucial in enabling reliable IT operations, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making by ensuring alignment with ITIL standards. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver configuration data across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Configuration Items (CIs) and IT assets within the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. - Collaborate with ServiceNow developers, solution architects, and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between CMDB, discovery tools, and external systems. - Monitor, analyze, and report on CMDB health metrics (e.g., completeness, correctness, compliance) and lead remediation efforts where gaps are identified. - Support ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations to ensure accurate and automated population of CI and asset data. - Ensure CMDB processes and data support audit, risk, security, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on expertise with ServiceNow CMDB, including CI classes, relationships, reconciliation, and normalization. - Experience supporting IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management processes aligned with ITIL standards. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality and process improvement. - Working knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and system integrations (APIs, data imports, third-party tools). - Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience working with ServiceNow, CMDB, IT Asset Management, or related ITSM functions.
