Good understanding of the IP technologies, protocols and network topology

Good understanding of the Network operations processes & Functions

5-6 yrs. of experience in IP Core Network Operations with service provider

Good understanding of IP network elements & protocols

Good communication skills

Familiar with Cisco routers, Switches, DNS, AAA, Firewalls, DHCP etc. Knowledge of relevant Third party products, including:

o Cisco 6500 series

o Cisco 3750 series

o Cisco Nexus (all models)

o Cisco ACE

o Cisco ASA

o Checkpoint Firewall

o Juniper Firewall

o Alteon Load Balancer

o F5 Load Balancer

Responsibilities include, but not limited to

• Implement optimization projects, as well as design changes other projects

• Act as a focal point for project implementation

• Field level support (smart hands) during reactive actions performed as part of incident management

• Field level support during any emergency conditions and service outages

• Develop and maintain NW documentation (Wiki)
