About the role
The Supplier shall ensure that the Appian Architect shall have:
-
act under general supervision, act in a lead capacity and work independently on application assignments and on complex data processing problems as required by the EBRD;
-
have a willingness to communicate and work closely with other providers as part of the wider team and programme of work have the ability to configure complex design and detailed functional specifications;
-
have in-depth knowledge on Process Models, SAIL Interfaces, Web APIs, Sites, Process Model as a Service, Admin Console, Document Management and Integration Smart Services, Appian Designer;
-
have prior experience/knowledge on Continuous Integration and Deployment model and Test Driven Development, Plugin developments, Appian server installations;
-
have prior experience in DC migration activiites
-
have in depth experience in reviewing the Database architecture for Appian applications;
-
have in depth experience in reviewing the design and architecture of Appian applications;
-
have in depth experience in reviewing and improving the implementation of applications according to design best practices, performance and security;
-
be able to lead the planning and execution of data migration activities, such as mapping data elements, evaluating ETL tools and reviewing the implemented stored procedures
-
have experience reviewing the application & security documentation produced by project teams for clients
-
share ownership of best practice and monitor and improve performance of processes
-
work on shared ownership and improve change management in Appian systems
-
have experience designing and implementing in Appian BPMS on premise and cloud from Appian 7.x to 20.x solutions, including, but not limited to:
(i) Custom smart nodes;
(ii) Integrated plugins;
(iii) Portal based applications (inc. forms and reports);
(iv) Tempo/SAIL based applications;

have deep knowledge of Appian architecture and its objects & best practices both in Appian cloud and on premise installations;
-
have a good understanding of database concepts and strong working knowledge of the implemented databases, including Client 11g and MySQL;
-
have experience of integrations using web services (e.g. XML, REST, WSDL, SOAP), API, JDBC, JMS;
-
Understand how to implement LDAP, SAML configuration, especially with OTS IAM solutions, including ForgeRock;
-
perform systems administration (e.g. Linux, Windows), KDB, hotfixes, patches, upgrades for internal installations;
-
perform Java and JavaScript Programming;
-
perform Low-Code applications implementation and use of Appian for niche development;
-
perform RPA integration with Appian;
-
take ownership of their deliverables and any issues arising with excellent analytical & problem solving skills;
-
apply creative thinking in the design and development;
-
establish and maintain co-operative working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work;
-
speak and write effectively in English;
-
be aware of the ITSM processes and support services; and
-
be certified Appian level 3.
-
Able to manage other team members of junior and intermediate level.
