About the role
Job title: AV Engineer – Unified Communications
Location: London
Job Type: 6-12 months
Overview:
The Unified Communications Platforms team is responsible for the architecture, design, engineering, testing and 3rd line support of all Unified Communications 'channels' [Video on demand, IPTV, streaming technologies, digital signage, meeting room control systems] and associated compliance capture, retention and retrieval platforms.
Key responsibilities:
support the engineering design, development and test process for the chosen product sets with focus on control and video
engaging with the deployment and production management specialists responsible for the delivery of 'UC' services
support and maintenance of the UC DEV environments
working closely with other channel/technical specialists and Lead Architects from within the End User Technologies group
working closely with product Architects, business application owners, security and compliance specialists
Adapt to new technologies, running PoC evaluations and clearly documenting your findings and recommendations.
You will have

Minimum of 5 years software engineer and/or support experience

Experience with support of Communication Enabled Business Processes

Experience with the following technologies: IPTV video distribution, Streaming technologies, web casting, and video on demand, digital signage and meeting room control.

Knowledge in H264, AD, LDAP , multicast, IP and networking protocols and associated services

Knowledge of video protocols and services

Solid understanding of the end-to-end IT process, including architecture, design, implementation and operations

Experience with meeting room control and associated products, ideally AMX, RMS, Biamp, Dante,/AVB
You will be

Well versed with Unified Communications and video

Educated to Bachelors or Master's degree level in Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university.

Preferably hold Cisco, AMX and/or Microsoft certifications
