About the role
Position – Azure/Client Clour PaaS Administrator
Type : TP for 6 months and extendable
Work : Hybrid
Location : Cork, Ireland
Position – Azure/Client Clour PaaS Administrator
Experience - A minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering/operations role with a software and/or services company.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Resolve critical and complex technical issues in a 24x7x365 global support delivery team. Combine technical expertise and customer requirements to solve complex business challenges.
Ability to quickly identify customer issues to specific Azure PaaS services and being able to conduct in-depth diagnostics on Azure PaaS platform and services.
Work with Architects to deliver solutions and deploy new capabilities in customer environment.
Analyse and eliminate top issues impacting customer experience.
Build automation to solve customer problems and develop scripts to automate troubleshooting and diagnostics activities.
Create documentation (SOP's & TSG's) to help L1/L2 teams to support operations.
Work on critical, highly complex customer scenarios that span across multiple Azure services
Act as a technical escalation point within the team
Work with architecture team on process improvement and strategic initiatives
Requirements

6-8 years of experience in a technical position and a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Azure PaaS Engineer:

Setup, maintain, optimize, and secure PaaS services on MS Azure Cloud including
-
Azure Logic Apps
-
Azure Functions
-
Azure Key Vaults
-
Azure Logic Apps
-
Proven experience assessing client’s Client workloads and technology landscape for OCI suitability, Including OCI Network and Security design for complex architectures to support high availability and disaster recovery requirements.

Proven experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Client Cloud solutions, including major services related to Compute, Storage, Networking, Database and Security, Client Cloud Infrastructure

Knowledge of different Ingress and Egress Network Patterns

Deep and Hand-On knowledge of upgrades, maintenance, scale operations and backup
-
Setup and maintain Storage Management, DNS, Proxy Setup and maintain Firewall, Application Gateway, and Load Balancers on MS Azure Cloud
-
Build and manage backup, restore, and DR activities
-
Implement a container build strategy
-
Build & support existing infrastructure, whilst planning & implementing new solutions Designing & implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
-
Must Have working experience with Terraform, Helm, Istio, Prometheus

Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure (Management groups, Azure policies, AKS, key vault, Application Insights, Application Gateway)

Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Tools (Pipelines, Release pipelines, Azure DevOps Boards)
-
Experience with Container platforms and Cloud Services using Identity, Storage, Compute, Automation, Disaster Recovery (Kubernetes, Helm, Istio)

Hands-On Experience on working with Private Networks, VPN and configuring Application proxies and load balancers.

Automation experience using Terraform, ARM Template, PowerShell or other similar tools
-
Hands on experience with Cloud Application Deployment patterns like Blue-Green, Canary or in a larger context of Service Mesh, Helm, K8 Operators, etc

Good understanding of CIS Best Practices for Hardening OS
