Solution Architect : Job description

Data Solution Architecture Experience

Knowledge in the following MS Azure data technologies.

Azure data lake

Azure data factory

Azure SQL DB

Azure synapse

Power BI

Databricks

OLAP technology experience (SSAS or Essbase) – preferred

Working with Businesses Analysts and key Business Stakeholders to understand the changing needs of our business and shape the solutions that are needed.

Consulting models and stakeholders to perform impact analysis and make recommendations on application landscape changes.

Owning the design for one or more projects and providing technical leadership for the project teams.

Collaborating closely with roles in Technology and vendor to produce high level designs, using modelling tools, and bringing these through design governance.

Participating in a thriving and growing architecture community, including peer reviews, consultation, and support

Ability to approach design with timeliness, cost and quality factors in mind. Risk identification and mitigation, quantification, and qualification non-functional and functional requirements.

Ability to present at Design Authority and other decision-making forums, and gain consensus from a variety of stakeholders.

What’s required ?

Strong Application-focused Solutions Architect.

Background in IT Application Solution Design.

Experience in solution design and a real passion for current trends including mobile and azure cloud technologies.

Awareness of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, but this is desirable and not essential.

Agile experience and awareness of ERP solutions is beneficial.

Experience in Retail, or at least operating in an enterprise-scale environment is desirable.
