About the role
Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee cloud infrastructure design and develop detailed architecture models for the client to host test, development, and production environments
Plan for system and application migration(s) to the cloud, adhering to the client's technical and business requirements
Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
Optimize cost of cloud solutions by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management
Lead the development of technical artifacts including Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Detailed Technical Design, Security Architecture Plan, Services Description Document, etc.
Plan and develop support processes that adhere to best practices (ITIL)
Communicate effectively through strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services
Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performance
Experience with highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrable experience developing Infrastructure architecture in large, complex, and critical IT environments
Experience working within Architecture teams, utilising frameworks, and Architecture governance processes.
Demonstrable experience in Public (Azure preferred) and Private cloud (VMware Cloud Foundation and NSX-T) implementations
Knowledge and/or experience with containerisation in public or private cloud
General knowledge and/or experience with network technologies, such as Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, Ingress Controllers, and routing.
Demonstrable experience of Infrastructure automation techniques and technologies, such as Azure DevOps, Ansible, and or VMware realise Automation
Demonstrable experience of architecting End User Computing solutions
Ability to present and communicate both business and technical concepts
Strong leadership, negotiation, and consultative skills with business and technical groups
Ability to think critically and solve problems
Skills /Competencies

Essential:
-
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
-
At least 11 years of Information Technology experience
-
At least 10 years of experience in directing and driving multiple large Data Center, Cloud, or Infrastructure Transformation programs
-
At least 10 years of experience in end-to-end Program and Project Planning, execution including experience in Data center or cloud transformation projects and programs
-
Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program
-
Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners

Monitors program results against technical specifications.

Achieve results through others by setting and communicating goals and metrics, monitoring progress; providing ongoing coaching and feedback, and reinforcing behavior that drive high performance.

Degree/Diploma in IT or equivalent
