Job Description Cloud Migration Consultant (Infrastructure) (3x HC)
Job description: We at Google Cloud Global Service Delivery (GSD) solve challenging and complex technical problems including infrastructure migration, network optimization, security best practices, and more. As a Google Cloud Migration Consultant (CMC) Infra, you will work with customer technical leads, customer executives, Google employees and partners to manage and deliver successful implementations and migrations to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will help Google Cloud customers with current infrastructure assessment, design, and architect target infrastructure, develop a migration plan and deliver technical workshops to educate them on GCP.
Job responsibilities:
Interact with internal technical stakeholders to translate complex customer requirements into recommendations for appropriate solution architectures and consulting services.
Has knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of GCP offerings. Demonstrates and applies foundational and required Google Cloud technical knowledge and understanding to ensure customer project success.
Help Google cloud customers with current infrastructure assessment, design and architect target infrastructure, develop a migration plan and deliver technical workshops to educate them on GCP and its products.
Provide an interface between local Japan teams including Google employees, Google customers and the remote delivery teams in the GSD. You should be able to perform basic project reporting tasks like project reports, dashboards and have good presentation skills. Support GSDin projects through the complete life-cycle including scoping, planning, executing, implementing/rollout, and closing.
Collaborate with program managers or lead efforts to support in monitoring project activities
Tech Skills ( Infrastructure)
Experience with deploying Cloud landing Zone on Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with using Google Cloud Landing Zone Foundation Toolkit or Fast Fabric.
Experience with Ansible modules for managing various infrastructure components (e.g., servers, networks, databases). Ability to design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for consistent and repeatable deployments.
Experience with developing GCP infrastructure services using Terraform following all Google's Guiding principles.
Be able to perform Terraform coding/ scripting independently.
Experience in reviewing and validating runbooks for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.
Experience in developing and implementing DR strategies to ensure business continuity, Knowledge of various DR techniques, including backup and restore, replication, and failover.
Ability to assess business requirements and determine appropriate DR strategies and classifications. Understanding of recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).Experience in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses to inform DR planning.
Experience with deploying & setting up services such as Google Cloud Operations suite.
Experience with DevOps Practices and familiar with deploying end to end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Build, or Github Actions or any other similar tools.
Be capable of developing a technical design document outlining proposed landing zone solutions, serving as a guideline for customers to build their own Google Cloud environments
Google Cloud Platform Certification - Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) certification is mandatory , Terraform Associate certification would be an added advantage.
Minimum qualifications

7-8 years of experience in delivering and executing projects of cloud adoption , IT transformation and cloud migrations, and technical implementation

Experience in program management, management consulting, and stakeholder management would be an added bonus though not mandatory.

Experience of both Enterprise IT and cloud technologies
Preferred qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Understanding of the broader Cloud marketplace and the differentiators of various Cloud offerings

Experience working with a cross-functionally, geographically dispersed team and customer base, and collaborating with channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver high-impact solutions

Language Skills
-
Since the projects to be delivered are mainly in the Greater China region, Mandarin language skills ( Reading, Writing and Speaking) are a must.

Proficiency in English is a must.

Cantonese language skills will be an added advantage.
