Cloud MSSQL Engineer

Job Requirements

Engineering experience of a large enterprise environment with MS SQL Server and the tools and services required for operations.

Must include:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience working with SQL server 2012 to 2019 within an infrastructure function

· Strong knowledge of AlwaysON, Mirroring, Log shipping

· SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

· Powershell

· JIRA and other SDLC tools

· GitHub or other Source Control systems

· VMWARE ESX or other hypervisor technology knowledge

· Windows 2008 / 2012R2 / 2016 / 2019

· Active Directory / Kerberos / SPNs

· Strong knowledge of TDE, TLS and encryption hierarchy

· Storage Area Networks

Desirable:

· GCP / AWS / Azure

· Web API's with JSON / XML

· Monitoring and Auditing Software

· Enterprise Backup Solutions

· DNS

· Networking principles

· C#

Key Candidate Attributes

Must include:

· Proven track record in IT project delivery management

· Excellent communication skills

· Self-motivated

· Ability to work collaborative and individually

Desirable:

· Financial Services background

· Experience of working at Microsoft in a SQL support / development function
