Cloud Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and architectural decisions for business applications to be deployed in a cloud environment

• Work closely with customers, transfer knowledge and propose architectural solutions designed for successful deployment in the cloud

• Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following the principles cloud architecture frameworks

• Work with the operations teams to implement system changes

• Implement, manage, and support technical processes for deployment of infrastructure, automation of deployment and operations, and related practices

• Document all components of the infrastructure, document changes and follow change control management procedures

• Ensure all cloud infrastructure and application architecture designs are in compliance with security policies and standards

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies based on detailed business requirements provided by business teams

• Required Experience

• Total experience of 12-15 years, with 5+ years in consulting/design/implementation of scaled, distributed cloud applications

• 4+ years of Cloud Native experience working with Containers/Microservices/Kubernetes etc

• Proven Cloud architecting experience for at least 3 organisations, including re-architecting applications for cloud migration

• Migration of applications into a scaled, distributed/hybrid cloud

• Experience with at least one cloud orchestration tool such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform

• Experience architecting and designing cloud-native applications leveraging PaaS and/or serverless FaaS

• The ideal candidate should be from an application background (developer in the early years)
