Custom Software Engineer

Title: Custom Software Engineer

Location: Richfield, MN Hybrid

Duration: 5+ Months of Contract

Required Skills:

1. Java

2. Spring Boot

3. Kafka, AWS, SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• 6 or more years of experience with software engineering

• 5 or more years of experience with JVM based languages such as Java

• 3 or more years of experience with SQL/No SQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB

• Fluent in Test Driven Development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, OpenStack, Rackspace cloud, etc.)

• Knowledge of and working experience with open source software (Apache, ToClientat, MeClientached, etc.).

• Jenkins pipelines (CI/CD)

• Linux and Mac OSX

• Demonstrated experience in an Agile environment

• Roles & Responsibilities.

• Follow the Agile development principles and practices.

• Ask questions when things do not look right, make suggestions to PO and BA, review acceptance criteria and test their deliverables before handing it over to QA.

• Understand the Functional/Technical Design and perform build activities.

• Contribute and create technical design for their features being developed.

• Take initiative and show creativity in solving complex problems.

• Consistently deliver a high volume of story points relative to their team.

• Deliver error free product features.

• Pair Programming as needed.

• Improve code quality regularly before deploying to Production.
