Data Architect

Data Architect Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in data architecture, data management, or a related role.

Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data architecture solutions.

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Power BI).

Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Client, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, Visio, Lucidchart).

Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.

Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data security best practices.

Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Scala.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement overall data architecture strategy, including data models, standards, guidelines, and best practices.

Design scalable, high-performance data solutions that meet business requirements.

Define data integration strategies and ensure proper data flows between systems.

Oversee the design and implementation of data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage solutions.

Establish data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams, to understand data needs and translate them into architectural solutions.

Provide guidance and technical expertise to development teams regarding data-related best practices.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve data architecture.

Continuously evaluate and optimize existing data systems to improve performance and scalability.
