About the role
Responsibilities :-

Adhering to SLAs

Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration

Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA

Understanding of Multi-geo support environment

Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
-
Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
-
Suggests new technologies and design changes
-
Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
-
Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
-
Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level
-
Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
-
Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
-
Technical Requirements
-
• In-depth knowledge on working of ESX Server & vCenter Server [formally Virtual Center]
-
• Work independently and as a member of a team of consultants on engagements with customers, often in a technical leadership role.
-
• Architect and develop customer solutions based on current hands-on knowledge of the VMware product line, storage, networking, management, and associated customer business processes.
-
• Participate in the pre-sales process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to develop effective solutions
-
• Document best practices in developing and deploying VMware solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by customers and partners
-
• 3+ years experience in architecting, designing and deploying virtualized infrastructures, ideally with a special emphasis on VMware vSphere (or VI3.5) and VMware Lab Manager 3 (or 4)
-
• Proven experience with IT automation systems (BMC, Client, IBM/Tivoli, CA)
-
• Strong practical Linux systems administration skills would be added advantage
-
• Understanding of computer server architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP)
-
• Knowledge on VMware Datacenter and Management Products like vSphere, vCenter Converter, Lab Manager, Chargeback, Capacity IQ etc is must.
-
• Hardware : Hands on Servers ( Client/DELL/Client/IBM)Work independently and as a member of a team of consultants on engagements with customers, often in a technical leadership role.

Years of Experience

Total : Above 6+ Years of experience
-
Relavant : 4+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining a medium/large environment (at least 100-150 Servers)

Certification requirements
-
MCSE (Essential), VCP, (Essential), ITIL (Would be added advantage)
