About the role
Technical Skills:
Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, virtualization using VMWare, system management tools and processes.
In-depth knowledge of AWS and cloud best practices.
Knowledge of DevOps processes and best practices including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Knowledge of SQL databases and database administration.
Knowledge of IT service delivery frameworks, especially ITIL.
Knowledge and proficient with multiple cloud technologies
Job Description:
Engineer the WIPO AWS cloud environment for Operational Efficiency, Reliability, Performance and Cost Optimization.
Define backup and business continuity parameters and strategies; engineer solutions to be deployed for specific applications.
Design and engineer solutions for logging, monitoring, and reporting on infrastructure and application resources.
Define incident response strategies and implement tools for monitoring metrics, automating response and notifications.
Assist in the implementation of tools for automation of configuration management, service catalogues and other processes.
Assist in the automation of account provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
Provide operational support to development teams for the staging and production deployment of applications.
Provide operational support to development teams and business owners.
Communicate processes and best practices to developers through tutorials and documentation
Perform other job-related duties as required.
