About the role
Who we are
eRisk are responsible for electronic pricing, trading, risk management and data analytics in Foreign Exchange. We are a team of around 70 people located in New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, London and Krakow. The majority of functional applications are written in Java, we use various open source solutions for tooling and there is a growing need to support other languages such as python and javascript.
What we do
We are looking for software engineers to support the development and maintenance of our infrastructure. You will be part of a dedicated infrastructure team who are responsible for managing all aspects of the DevOps life cycle helping to facilitate the delivery of business features. You will work in a pod split between Krakow and London heavily integrated with the various development teams and operations.
Joining us, you will work on various initiatives
• Application deployment and orchestration
• Configuration management inventory
• Monitoring automation
• Continuous improvement to our CICD pipeline
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation
Your daily tasks:
• You and your teammates are responsible for all aspects of delivering software to users:
o Development
o Automating testing and deployment of small and frequent releases
o Speaking to the key stake holders on features and requirements
o Production availability of your service – if you build a service you own the service
Your skills and experience (in order of priority from the most to the least important):
• Demonstrate programming expertise, e.g. Java or Python or another modern programming language
• Build and Deploy Automation (CICD), e.g. Jenkins or TeamCity. Maven or Gradle or Terraform
• Server configuration management and automation, e.g. - Puppet or Ansible or Chef
• Knowledge of one more web development frameworks, e.g. AngularJS or Angular 2+ or NodeJS or React
• Virtualisation/Public Cloud, e.g. GCP or AWS or Azure. VirtualBox or Docker
• English at least B2 level
Nice to have:
• Vulnerability Management
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Go, bash and other programming languages
• Open Source software – MongoDB, InfluxDB, Grafana, Elasticsearch
• Experience of working in an agile team
• Demonstrates a passion for software development outside of work through involvement in open source, working groups etc.
