Devops Lead

Responsible for Design and implementation of DevOps that covers continuous integration, code scanning, automated testing, configuration management, release management, online collaboration and system monitoring.

Responsible for implementing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines by working with various Development teams and CLIENT Central DevOps team.

Designing and developing automated software deployment solutions to support integrated solutions using GIT, Subversion, Jenkins, Stash, JIRA, Java, RDBMS technologies and other toolsets as per CLIENT standard.

Recommend opportunities to create and manage Microservices and published API in the Software Development Lifecycle. Enforce externalization of configurations and API Gateways.

Improve the code-coverage of applications in the continuous integration drives

Increase the coverage of Continuous Deployment to automation of Integration Test, Acceptance Tests, Smoke Tests and Performance Tests.

Translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of the development process (development, testing, deployment, monitoring).

Ensure reports on code metrics (i.e. code quality, code coverage, security scanning etc) are in place.

Provide solutions in integrating disparate systems.

Champion DevOps innovations by introducing better tools and agile practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years production level experience with distributed applications at scale in public cloud (AWS and/or Azure), or equivalent experience

• Experience in one (and preferably more) of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, Javascript or Ruby

• Production level expertise with containerization orchestration engines (i.e., Kubernetes, Mesos)

• Strong working knowledge of modern, continuous development techniques and pipelines (Agile, Kanban, CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO27001, SOC-II, PCI-DSS, and/or HIPAA

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries, particularly in the context of a SaaS offering.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field

• Good understanding of the Operating System concepts, mainly Linux.

• Good problem solving skills.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Passionate about solving interesting problems for customers – ready to explore new grounds in technology and user experience.
