About the role
Manages the day-to-day relationship with vendors/service providers of the disaster recovery infrastructure and facilities.
· Manages all recovery planning and dry runs. Assesses results of dry runs and improves plans as necessary.
· Provides consulting services on all aspects of the organization's disaster recovery and resumption plans.
· Supervises and directs DR Lead coordinators responsible for planning disaster recovery teams.
· During a disaster this individual is responsible for the execution of the disaster recovery plan
· Develop and maintain liaisons with Client Leads, and similar entities to facilitate plan development, response effort coordination during DR exercise and actual DR.
· Taking direction from the Supplier Disaster Recovery Lead in coordination with Client GIS DR Service Management.
· Managing local Disaster Recovery planning and execution activities
· Controlling the development and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Plan and supporting documentation
· Leading/Participating in Disaster Recovery meetings and reviews
· Representing Disaster Recovery to Supplier and Client management
· Meeting control requirements according to IGM Maturity requirements for supplier delivered Disaster Recovery services
· Reviewing Disaster Recovery services annually with Client
· Providing support to Client in the event of a local audit for the services provided by Supplier.
· Ensuring the Disaster Recovery Plans managed by the supplier are updated based on DR application or technical updates.
Skills

· BS degree or higher required

· PMP,CISSP, ISO22301, CBCP certification is preferred

· 8+ years of increasingly responsible IT technical experience

· 3+ years IT DR planning and design experience for med-large organizations

· Expert knowledge of DR and business continuity policies, procedures, regulations and governance processes required

· Advanced knowledge of data center infrastructures, network, midrange, middleware, storage, databases, portals, mobile, and IT security

· Demonstrates understanding of data replication technologies, backup and restore approaches and technologies.

· Experience with SunGard LDRPS or Assurance preferred

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of management and technical staff

· Extensive familiarity with all aspects of project management, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting and operations

· Ability to lead, motivate and train individuals and teams.

· Intellectually inquisitive with a drive to completion and closure.
