About the role
Embedded C Developer
Below are roles and responsibilities
Assess FW requirements with Project Leaders and Architects and relevant Stakeholders
Design FW Architecture with Architects and Relevant Stakeholders
Write Specification
Develop FW solutions and execute Unit Testing (eg):
Device Drivers
Motor Control Drivers
Safety Control Firmware
RTOS Skeleton
Management of Loads / Sensors
Fault Management
Communication Protocols
Bootloaders
Class B Library and Protective Electronic Circuit SW Subsystems
Manage RTOS configurations.
Fast prototyping of complex ideas onto an embedded platform in C/C++ programming language and HW prototype
Being able to debug HW and FW using a wide range of techniques and tools (Oscilloscope, Debugger, etc..)
Ensure the correct integration of software with hardware
Ability to work efficiently in complex organizations and to support technical gate reviews processes
Ensure that the definition, storage and revision of technical specifications area managed and released in timely and proper manner
Follow the company defined development process
Leads and participates in all stages of the embedded software development cycle, such as software design, coding, debugging, verification, validation, code review, code inspection etc.
Performs static code analysis, white-box testing, gray-box testing and involved in preparation and execution of firmware verification and validation testing.
Develops detailed engineering documentation including software design document, specifications, manuals and other customer documentation, development and test procedures, Engineering Change Notices and manufacturing procedures.
Educational Qualifications
MSc. or equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field. Candidates with a BSc degree in combination with additional relevant experience will also be considered.
Minimum ten years of broad and relevant experience in an electronic controls engineering company.
Experience with MBD
Experience in Automated Test environment
Embedded programming skills and experience in C/C++ with and w/o RTOS
Embedded Linux, QT,QML, and EMwin GUI development experience a plus.
Experience working in modern software development process frameworks (Agile, SCRUM, DevOps, Kanban, etc...)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for electronic components (UL,VDE...). Experience with UL/IEC 60335 Class B safety requirements a plus
Knowledge of LED, LCD, and TFT display technologies.
Willingness to travel.
