ETL Developer

Requirements

• • Expert ETL skills using Informatica (preferrable v10.2 and above) on Data Integration and Data Migration

• • Development experience with Informatica PowerCenter (PWC) and PowerExchange (PWX)

• • Good familiarization of Operational Data Store (ODS)

• • Good communication skills

• Nice to have:

• • IA EDEN ODS implementation experience

• • Data warehousing, Azure Data Factory and Cloud Migration is a plus

• • Insurance principles and terminology, Products, Policies and Procedures

Responsibilities

• • In charge of ETL job development. Identifies areas for improvement/enhancement on existing ETL Jobs and on new ones being developed.

• • Performs analysis and design of for the development and enhancements

• • Works with the business/system analysts in the preparation and review of the functional specifications

• • Determines, analyzes, and transforms business requirements to produce design specifications.

• • Develops or maintains, tests, implements, and documents ETL jobs according to specifications and Philam standards

• • Identifies all possible test scenarios and prepares and executes unit/system testing for the ETL jobs developed.

• • Assists in the preparation of System Test plans to ensure the quality of system being delivered to the business community.

• • Executes test plans during development and system testing and performs other testing required to ensure that system developed reflects user requirement/design.

• • Provides support in the system test, user test, and production environments including analysis of defects/production problems.

• • Performs implementation activities such as ETL job promotions, installation of the system, training and tutorial for end users

• • Provides post-implementation and production support for supported systems including analysis of production problems raised by business users.

• • Provides updates and status reports to the project manager during the course of the development and related support activities. Raises issues promptly.

• • Prepares project/system documentation as prescribed by the SDLC

• • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

• • Enhance existing or create new ETL jobs based on new requirements or for optimization purposes.
