EUC Engineer

Role: EUC Engineer

Job Description: The role requires a working knowledge of a broad set of EUC technologies including (but not limited to) Windows client OS and software, EUC hardware, EUC infrastructure and platforms, desktop and application virtualisation technologies, Microsoft Office software, image building and deployment technologies, programming and application deployment, Mobile Device Management, cloud services and basic server, active directory, LAN/WAN, WLAN and remote access technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage the EUC environments monitoring performance, ensuring system availability, reliability and providing input into capacity planning to handle projected growth.

• Undertake typical break fix and support activities on all EUC related infrastructure, both on-site and remotely, as required.

• Perform general maintenance and system upgrades.

• Support the delivery of services within agreed timescales and in accordance with SLA's.

• High levels of knowledge in EUC technologies and experience working within an IT technical EUC role.

• Knowledge and experience working with the following:

• Group Policy

• Windows 7/10

• Device hardware (Lenovo, Dell, Client)

• Image building and deployment

• Active Directory/Exchange/Office365

• Asset and patch management systems

• Desktop Central/SCCM etc.

• Programming, scripting and application development (VB, SMS, PowerShell)

• Application packaging

• Mobile Device Management

• Desktop/Application Virtualisation technologies (RDS, Citrix. VMWare)

• TCP/IP, LAN/WAN & Windows networking (DNS, DHCP)

• Windows Server OS 2008/2012/2016 - desirable

• Cloud infrastructure services (Microsoft Azure/AWS) – desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar field
