Job Description:
Field Services Hands and Feet responsibilities:
Rack, cable, deploy and unrack Networking equipment
Rack, Build, Cable and unrack Servers
ILO for Servers and Out of band management for network devices
Resolve reported issues via troubleshooting within the stipulated SLA
Perform Root Cause Analysis
Document Datacenter tasks like Rack diagrams, Power requirements, Runbook and Standard Operating Procedures
Standardize procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of network
Provide evidence for SOX compliance
About work in Ships (For San Ramon, Houston & London)

Candidate should be willing to work in Ships

Candidate should be willing to fly to nearby countries such as Mexico & Panama; necessary visas will be sponsored by Client

Shipping activity schedule given by customer

Ships anchored in sea or docked in shipping yard
-
In only one place, Ship anchored 100 miles off the coast. In other places anchored 10-30 miles off the coast

Customer will provide necessary transport from Shipping Port to anchored Ship

On average, there will be 2 shipping activities in a month

Typically, activities done in Ship are for a minimum one day to two or three days

For activities beyond 8 hours:
-
at Port: Technician to return back next day to ship

at Sea: Technician may be required to stay overboard in ship to continue the work next day and then return back to shore

The duration and mode of work will all be decided during planning phase of each activity

When Technician go to ship, overtime will be considered for hours spent outside regular working hours of 9 am to 6 pm (Monday to Friday) as per local state laws

Shipping activities usually consume 30% of resource time. For the remaining time, candidates to work in customer facilities at base location and perform activities assigned by Client site lead.
Mandatory:
Relevant experience: 3+ years for Technician
Basic knowledge of Cisco Switch, Routers, etc
Worked in Enterprise Environment with Service Level Agreement
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willing to work in 24x7 shift schedule
Must be willing to learn quickly, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)
· Good documentation skills
