About the role
Project description: MANDATORY requirements to be discussed with the candidate prior to presentation:

Your tasks:
Full cycle of flight control laws development activities from requirements flown down and validation, implementation and testing and integration.
In particular, in relation to the longitudinal control laws development.
Perform linear analyses to understand robustness of the FCL to aerodynamic parameter variation.
Perform non-linear analyses – verifying implementation of problem reports and conducting offline clearance tests for FCL baselines.
Interfacing with handling qualities and flight testing team on (piloted) testing of control laws baselines
Support the Aerodynamic and Modelling teams to ensure the suitability of the Flight Dynamics Model for Flight Control Laws development.
Support the flight control system and software teams on target integration and testing
Support of safety assessment activities on flight control system and aircraft level
Additional requirements:
Your Profile:
MEng or M. Sc. in aeronautical engineering or similar degree
Min. 5 years of professional experience in flight control law development for fly-by-wire aircraft with demonstrated track record of delivery
Good understanding of flight dynamics modelling , previous professional experience in this area is a plus
Experience with flight control development of highly augmented aircraft configurations is beneficial
Solid background in ARP 4754A and DO-178C (experience with model-based design/ DO-331 is a plus)
Excellent skills in Matlab/Simulink
High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously
Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
