Contractor for Sales Performance Dashboard Development previous marked as Data Stream

We are seeking a highly experienced and selfdriven contractor 58 years to design develop and maintain the engineering platformbehind a Sales Performance Dashboard supporting our banking and financial services operations with a particular focus on the wealth managementdomain

While this position sits within the Data Analyticsorganization it is not an analyst role The core deliverables are microservices and APIsthat reliably expose governed metrics and entitlementsaware datasets to downstream dashboards and consumers Success requires strong ownership comfort operating in a complex bank data ecosystem and the ability to translate evolving business requirements into secure scalable technical solutions

Responsibilities

• Microservices Backend Development

• Design develop and maintain microservicesthat power sales performance reporting and analytics

• Build and maintain secure scalable RESTful APIsto enable data integration across internal systems

• Ensure services are productionready with strong performance reliability observability and operational hygiene

• Data Ecosystem Understanding Integration

• Work with stakeholders and partner teams to understand endtoend data flows and definitions frontline workflows financealigned metrics

• Integrate with upstreamdownstream data sources and platforms help diagnose data issues impacting reporting accuracy

• Optimize data access patterns and queries to support efficient analytics and reporting for banking use cases

• Security Access Control and Compliance

• Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data

• Apply appropriate authorization patterns so data exposure aligns with stakeholder entitlements and governance requirements

• Collaboration Delivery

• Engage with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose pragmatic technical solutions

• Collaborate with crossfunctional and offshore teams to deliver incremental outcomes in an agile delivery model

• Respond promptly to changing priorities and drive work to completion with minimal oversight

Requirements

• Experience

• 5- 8 yearsof solid professional experience in relevant roles microservicesbackend engineering API development and working with dataintensive systems

• Experience in bankingfinancial services is strongly preferred especially exposure to wealth managementproducts processes or analytics

• Technical Skills

• Choose one primary stack not both

• Java stack Java Spring Boot or equivalent strong REST API engineering testing and production operations

• or

• Python stack Python FastAPI or equivalent strong REST API engineering testing and production operations

• Data Platform Fundamentals

• Solid understanding of databases and analytics platforms eg PostgreSQL BigQuery andor similar enterprise data stores

• Ability to design optimize and troubleshoot queries and data access patterns for reportinganalytics workloads

• Engineering Practices

• Strong grasp of API security best practices eg OAuthtokenbased authentication least privilege

• Comfortable working in an agile environment with iterative delivery cycles

• Working knowledge of GitGitHubfor version control and collaboration

• Communication Working Style

• Strong written and verbal communication skills including explaining technical tradeoffs to nontechnical stakeholders

• Selfstarter mindset able to independently troubleshoot issues drive clarity and deliver outcomes

• Comfortable readingwriting Englishfor daytoday collaboration with global counterparts

Preferred Qualifications Nice to Have

• Fullstack knowledgenot required familiarity with modern frontend concepts and how backendAPI decisions affect UX

• Experience with dashboardBI tools eg Tableau Power BI Looker or similar

• Familiarity with cloud services eg GCP components such as BigQueryCloud StorageCloud Functions andor containerized deployment patterns

• Understanding of data security standards and regulatory expectations in banking
