About the role
Job Description :
Technical stack includes AWS, Linux, Guidewire (v5, v9 or v10), Java, Python
Development team is using agile delivery methods thus knowledge of Engineering standards, DevOps, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence), CI/CD important, Guidewire tooling/platform upgrade at an enterprise level
Optimise service availability and reliability through performance tuning and the implementation of best practices.
Develop and promote deep technical expertise, insights and thought leadership related to Customer’s applications
o Maintain subject matter expertise of the external market and emerging technology trends related to specific applications
o Responsible for giving direction and support more junior Guidewire Developers
o Creation of standards and training materials to promote and teach Guidewire engineering skills
Support the planning and delivery of changes
o Ensure that proposed solutions are aligned with Customer architectures and road maps
o Quality assure requirements, impact assessments, design specifications, resource estimates
o Optimise Guidewire delivery capabilities
o Assist in prioritise the backlog of changes to the platform as part of a squad
o Work across squads to deliver business outcomes, taking part in Agile ceremonies
Assist Engineering Manager in delivering quality, on-time implementations which provides confidence to stakeholders and ensures that the value of changes will be achieved
