Job Description:
Essential skills:
Excellent Software development skills
Experience with designing and developing data loading and validation workflows
Experience with cron tool for task automation
Extensive experience in scripting languages like bash and perl
Comfort in working in Linux environment
Experience with MySQL database
Experience with lucene based search indexes like Solr or ElasticSearch
Experience with building web applications on Java, JSP running on Tomcat
Experience with developing web interfaces using HTML/CSS and JQuery
Desirable skills:
Experience working with AWS
Project objectives:
Migration of a web-based search engine with all its layers into a new infrastructure.
Refactor the data-loading workflow written in Java with combination of perl and bash scripts.
Communicate with business to collect and understand requirement to refine data validation process.
Develop an interface to handle data validation feedback and subsequent actions.
Produce documentation where necessary.
