Job Title: LDAP Directory Server Integration Engineer

Project Background:

The organisation operates a global Client LDAP Directory Server infrastructure used by over 500 applications. This project will be to assist in the migration of the existing Client Directory Server Enterprise Edition (ODSEE) 11G system to Client Unified Directory (OUD) R2, re-hosting to alternative hardware. The migration will be sympathetic to its client base to ensure zero outages are experienced during the transition.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Management of a corporate LDAP infrastructure (ODSEE 11G) evaluation, testing and deployment of releases.

Managing the implementation and testing of schema extensions and access control requests

Integration of components designed to increase resiliency of the infrastructure (e.g. Load Balancers/Proxies)

Development and enhancements of monitoring and alerting systems to display current and historical LDAP and OS parameters, and generation of events when limits are exceeded.

Profiling client usage through log file analysis

Client application migration support

Assisting the effort for the upgrade to OUD

Candidate Summary:

Extensive experience of managing a multi mastered, multi DC and multiple region corporate LDAP infrastructure (Client/Sun preferable)

Experience of migrating from ODSEE to OUD

Excellent understanding of OUD's concepts and architecture

Good understanding of the LDAP product market

Solaris/Unix/Linux SA level knowledge

Strong Perl skills
