About the role
Location : Gothenburg
Position : Linux Admin/Support Engineer.
Main responsabilités:
· Respond to support requests from users and their organisations.
· Create and maintain documentation for the Linux Client.
· Perform root cause analyses (RCAs) and drive long-term solutions.
· Highlight problematic areas to the team for long-term improvement.
Required Experience:
· Management of Linux systems, preferably Debian derived.
· Involvement in open source projects in the past is a plus.
· Experience from global IT organisations and adherence to policies.
· Some Ansible knowledge would be beneficial, but not a requirement.
Required Skills:
· Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
· Good communication skills; the ability to convey ideas in written form and the capability to share those ideas in a clear, concise manner.
· Good collaboration and relational skills; comfortable working with other skilled professionals in project teams towards common goals.
· An understanding of the makeup of a modern GNU/Linux distribution, Debian or Ubuntu preferred.
· Clear understanding of common script languages, such as bash.
Required Personality:
· Self-directed, organised and results oriented.
· Structured and analytical with excellent problem solving ability.
· Good management skills and experience of such tools.
· Enthusiastic about learning new tools and techniques.
· Ability to accept and promote change.
