Magento Developer

Responsibilities

• Building and configuring Magento Content Management System (CMS) and eCommerce websites.

• Discuss and understand the requirement from the customer and design team.

• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance improvements.

• Coding of the Magento templates.

• Developing Magento modules in PHP using best practices.

• Designing themes and interfaces.

• Work as part of a team, which will include other Magento developers, mobile developers, a project manager, QA professional, and a designer.

• Work in an agile development model. Complete sprints and participate in sprint retrospectives and daily stand ups.

• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

• Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Magento, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL.

• 2+ years of professional experience with complete eCommerce and CMS lifecycle development.

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.

• Excellent knowledge of SQL scripting and My SQL database administration.

• Hands on experience on customization of Magento Themes, Magento Modules Development, Extension Development.

• Ability in Magento website performance, security and speed monitoring.

• Develop complex and high end international web applications with CMS and e-commerce.

• Experience in creating and managing listings and selling products on various online marketplaces.

• Experience in managing order fulfilment process (from order creation to product shipment).

• Experience in customizing Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.

• Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, SEO, Analytics, PPC, and A/B Testing.

• Ability to work in a team environment and work to strict deadlines.

• Ability in troubleshooting integration issues.

• Ability in updating website features, update Magento installation and install security patches.

• Ability working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts.

• English Skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English).
