Description

Software Tester/QA engineer

· Manual testing: Integration, system, regression and functional testing

· Functional requirements analysis/review

· Tests case/scenario's preparation

· Test design, planning, and reporting.

· Test automation

· Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies, best practices and processes.

· Experience in the implementation of effective software testing methodologies and tools.

SQL, Java, XML, junit / JIRA, Confluence, qTest

· Review business requirements and transform into test scenarios/cases

· Build regression test cases for manual testing

· Assist users with acceptance testing

· Perform functional testing

· Make recommendations for test process optimization and assist in the implementation of improvements

· Work with business/system owners to assist in the identification of regression test cases for critical systems/production batches

· Participate in functional requirement discussions

· Assist in the test planning and test preparation for major releases of selected projects

· Prepare test cases/test data/script development

· Establish mechanisms for repeatable test execution of new regression suites

· Prepare test documentation, results and reports

· Record defects in JIRA and track to closure

Detailed specification of contract requirements for the above activities will be elaborated into a work breakdown structure and work progress will be recorded and tracked via the JIRA project tracking system.

Deliverables:

· Deliverable testing artifacts include: documented test cases, test data preparation scripts, test results, defect analysis reporting
