MSSQL DBA

We are looking for a DBA candidate who is a subject matter expert with hands-on experience supporting MSSQL database. This role will be primarily focused on migrations/upgrades of existing databases and database administration for MSSQL database.

Responsibilities

• · Install, monitor, and maintain MSSQL software, implement monitoring and alerting, implement backup and recovery processes, provide system and SQL performance tuning and assist in business process integration with various data sources.

• · Fulfills user requests ranging from access control, backup, restore, refresh to non-production to performance tuning.

• · Provides online & on call coverage for production support and administration of MSSQL.

Qualifications

• · At least 5 years of hands-on experience in MSSQL Database Administration/ Engineering.

• · Has strong Python programming skill and be able to develop dba applications for system automation and integration.

• · Has hands-on experience with Python multiprocessing, Django web framework and Celery Async framework is a big plus.

• · Understands Javascript, Jquery and CSS web development is a big plus.

• · Knowledge of AzureSQL, SQL on Hadoop, SYBASE, Client is a big plus.
