Network Engineer

Role: Network Engineer

Type: Contract

Location: Bioggio-Switzerland

• Manage configuration, performance and maintenance of network

• Monitors all system alerts, backups, and security logs and remediate as needed

• Monitor backup operations and troubleshoot as needed

• Assists in the daily and pro-active maintenance of the infrastructure environment

• Baseline systems before deployment and provides monthly reports on current performance

• Provide Network support as needed

• Very good communication skills

Solid foundation in networking

• Proven track record and experience in working in an industry-leading operations organization, experience in NOC environments is ideal

• Possess a solid understanding of and have experience with most of the following network technologies: HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, NAT, ACLs, IPSEC, and SNMP. Knowledge of Cloud (AWS,OCI or GCP) and Cisco ACI.

• Solid knowledge and familiarity with Checkpoint, F5, Proxy Bluecoat and Cisco

• In depth knowledge of troubleshooting and monitoring tools like tcp dump & Wireshark required.

• Linux/Unix basic system administration and troubleshooting knowledge are plus.

• Bachelor / Master degree in computer science
