About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer V to join a high-performing network operations and engineering team based in Dublin. This role is ideal for a networking professional with deep expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, and large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing critical network infrastructure while supporting complex network deployments and operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network stability, performance, and scalability across a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot large-scale IP network infrastructure
• Analyze network performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement
• Configure and support routing protocols including BGP and OSPF within complex network environments
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network-related incidents
• Support network hardware platforms, including Cisco routing and switching technologies
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure high availability and reliability of network services
• Monitor network health and capacity to support future growth requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures
• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployment projects
• Ensure adherence to network security and operational best practices
Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of IP networking fundamentals and practical application of IP protocols

• Extensive experience with major internet routing protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF
-
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco router platforms, including Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, and 76xx series devices

• Proven expertise in network analysis, diagnostics, and complex troubleshooting methodologies
-
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise, ISP, or data center networking environments

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
