About the role
Computershare have a great opportunity for a forward thinking and talented Network Support Engineer to join our team based in Bristol. This role is will be working on a hybrid basis splitting your time between home and our HQ in Bristol.
This position sits within our Network & Voice team who provide 2nd and 3rd line support across our Computershare Technology Customers and clients. For this role, we are looking for you to be an experienced Network Support Engineer, who thrives from working in a fast-paced environment. Whilst you will off course be involved in BAU activities, we also have an exciting pipeline of projects for FY22/23 that you will support.
The team you’ll be joining are a collaborative bunch with great team spirit. They work incredibly hard to support their customers, but they have fun along the way.

Working to support all our CTS customers and clients, we will be looking for you to also enhance the customer experience through investigating and resolving system faults, enabling our customers to run their operations effectively.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and health of our EMEA network equipment, providing advanced technical support for networking across multiple vendor products including Cisco Nexus, Meraki, Fortinet, and Citrix.
Other key responsibilities:
• Implementing policies and standards relating to Computershare Network & Voice environment, ensuring adherence to security procedures
• Preparation of technical reports for management
• Implementing authorised/approved firewall change requests
• Involvement in proof of concept and deployment activities when project teams require SME resource
Technical skills. Here’s what we’re looking for;
• Direct hands-on experience of supporting network from layer 1 upwards
• A sound technical understanding of some of the following: Layer 2 switching protocols [e.g., VLANs and spanning tree], Layer 3 routing protocols [e.g., BGP and OSPF], MPLS and stateful firewalls [e.g., implementing and troubleshooting policies]
• Demonstrable experience of enterprise network monitoring and management as well as enterprise routing, switching and wireless products
• Experience of working in a large complex technical environment
• Proactive in continuous learning, ensuring technical knowledge is up to date and sharing best practice with others
