Role Overview: As a skilled Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and owning end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade applications using .NET Core and microservices. Your role will involve defining scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will create high-level and low-level design documents, establish architecture standards, and drive API-first and cloud-native design principles. Key Responsibilities: - Design and own end-to-end architecture for enterprise-grade applications using .NET Core and microservices. - Define scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures aligned with business objectives. - Create high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documents. - Establish architecture standards, patterns, and best practices. - Drive API-first and cloud-native design principles. - Lead the development of RESTful APIs using .NET Core. - Define API contracts, versioning strategies, and security mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, etc.). - Ensure high-performance, maintainable, and testable code. - Review critical pull requests and enforce coding standards. - Design and implement microservices-based architectures. - Implement inter-service communication using REST, messaging queues, or event-driven patterns. - Ensure fault tolerance, circuit breaking, retries, and observability. - Implement service discovery, API gateways, and caching strategies. - Architect and deploy solutions on Microsoft Azure including Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus/Event Grid, and Azure SQL/Storage. - Define infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform preferred). - Ensure cloud security, cost optimization, scalability, and monitoring. - Lead or guide development of cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI. - Ensure seamless backend integration and secure API consumption. - Design optimized schemas and queries in SQL Server. - Implement indexing, query tuning, and performance optimization strategies. - Ensure transactional integrity and data security. - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. - Implement automated builds, code quality checks, and deployment pipelines. - Promote DevSecOps practices and automated testing integration. - Lead architecture discussions and technical decision-making. - Mentor senior and mid-level engineers. - Conduct code reviews and architectural reviews. - Drive engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives. - Act as a technical escalation point for complex production issues. - Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders. - Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. - Ensure predictable and high-quality Agile delivery. - Balance technical excellence with delivery timelines. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of software engineering experience. - Strong hands-on experience in .NET Core and C#. - Expertise in RESTful API design and distributed systems. - Proven experience designing microservices architectures. - Strong cloud architecture experience in Microsoft Azure (Mandatory). - Experience with SQL Server including performance tuning. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD. - Experience in architecture design and system scalability. Additional Details: - Exposure to AWS cloud services is a plus. - Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred. - Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, Service Bus, RabbitMQ) is beneficial. - Experience with observability tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana) is advantageous. - Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-native applications is recommended.
