About the role
This is a genuinely fantastic opportunity to work for one of the most prestigious EU Institutions in Brussels, Belgium.
We are on the lookout for an exceptional QA Manager (Technical) with at least 5 years of experience, plus a Bachelor's degree
Note Working from home will be likely be required initially. However, you would be expected to work full time on-site after the travel restrictions are lifted.
Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:
Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices regarding test strategy
Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects
Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis related to the area of expertise
Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific business domain (see skills)
Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or Return of investment
Creates user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint
Is involved in the decision making process related to user stories scheduling into sprints
Participates in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (SCRUM),
Participates to retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
Reviews deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities after every sprint
Facilitates the acceptance of the product by the business
Develops and maintains standards for testing
Provides progress reporting
Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs
Knowledge and skills
In-depth knowledge of BPMN
In-depth knowledge of UML
Good knowledge of data modelling techniques and tools
Good knowledge of database design techniques and tools
Good knowledge of application development environments
Good knowledge of Agile toolbox (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, BigPicture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.)
Good knowledge of Agile methodology
Proven experience with quality procedures
Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, very good communication skills
