Key Responsibilities

Elicits, analyzes, models and validates business requirements, conditions and priorities within application development projects in the Credit Risk PB Domain

Actively interacts with the requestors to understand the requirements and expectation and transform them into an adequate, applicable, sustainable and efficient requirement specification for existing or new IT-applications

Production and sign-off of standard requirements engineering deliverables (Use Case Model, Use Cases, Domain Object Model, Business Rule Specifications, Screen Specifications, Non Functional Requirements Specifications, Project Requirements List) on time and with high quality and expected clarity

Understands the Credit Risk business landscape and is able to model new data attributes into an existing, complex data model

Supports developers and testers by resolving business issues that come up during the technical implementation and testing phase

Provides subject matter expertise to support the development and validation of quality assurance, application architecture, testing and other project deliverables

Provides 3 rd Level Support by investigating the root cause of raised production issues and by figuring out what, where and how to fix the root cause of the reported issues.

Overview of the department / team (team size, backgrounds, personalities ...):

Platform Team organization consists of more than 600 people and includes the Credit Risk IT organization supporting the private banking part of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) shared service function. Our team designs, develops and supports the IT systems that measure and manage the credits, market and operational risk of the private and investment bank. The risks calculated by our systems are used in regulatory reporting, reporting to senior business and risk management and business leads.

The successful candidate will be working within the Credit Risk PB IT organization in Ticino (South of Switzerland). The immediate Team is around 20 Members.

Challenges Contractor will be facing in this role:

As part of a Core Delivery Team you will be asked to contribute to evolution of an ecosystem which is high-strategic for the whole bank and requires highly skilled specialists with a solution and delivery oriented attitude.

You are going to be faced with some stressful situations, which requires extreme efficiency, high engagement and accountability.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

6+ more years of experience in requirements engineering in application development projects

Experience working in Banking Industry

Fluent written and spoken English

Experience in delivery projects using agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum, JIRA, ...)

Strong SQL and data modelling skills

Soft skills to handle stakeholders with different background (Business Project Managers, User Representatives, Programmers, Offshore resources, Testers etc.)

Strong communication skills and ability to deal effectively with people face to face and over the phone across different cultures and time zones (off-shore)

Strong ability to work independently and to work collaboratively in a team

Understanding of the development technologies and the development and deployment processes

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Experience working in Credit Risk Domain (strong plus)

Academic education in Computer Science or similar engineering domains

Understanding of architecture diagrams

Strong negotiation skills, both with internal as well as external clients

Knowledge of program languages, in particular JAVA, and Client DB

Interest and ability to go beyond the specific role duties and learn and apply other technologies as needed

Preferred qualifications/experience

• Business engineering education and/or certificate

• Experience with Market Data (mostly financial instruments)

• Experience in international and large-scale projects

• German and/or Italian language knowledge are an added value
