Duties

Administers SCOM(Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager) systems;

Upgrade/reinstall existing SCOM instances to the latest level;

Install, configure and troubleshoot SCOM management packs including third party management packs used to monitor network, storage, applications, etc;

Install and configure SCOM servers to enable monitoring across different Active Directory domains;

Tune the SCOM configuration to prevent false-positive alerts;

Take necessary actions to ensure all elements of IT services are monitored;

Monitor the SCOM environments and take appropriate actions;

Investigates and resolves issues in a systematic approach;

Performs other duties as may be required

Requirements

• Current in-depth knowledge and practical work experience of SCOM (Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager) in a large scale LAN-based client-server environment;

• Recent experience on design, installation and maintenance of SCOM environments over multiple Active Directory domains;

• In-depth knowledge of installation and configuration of SCOM management packs;

• Experience with configuring monitoring of Linux based systems with SCOM;

• Ability to quickly analyse and implement third party SCOM management packs;

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
