Senior Cloud and SAAS Services Architect - NV1 clearance

Client is a Fortune 500 company and prides in servicing 99% of Fortune 500 companies as well as Government Agencies around the world. In Canberra, we run a key business unit - the Government Security Operations Centre (GSOC) that supports a number of Australian Government departments. We are looking for the support of a Cloud Security Architect to assist with a critical Sales opportunity with a key government customer.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the design of the SAAS services and associated infrastructure to support our SOC services, including service design, integration and costs

As part of a larger technical response team, provide input into the Cloud and SAAS service design and delivery of a major infrastructure project, including potential technology and hardware refresh, new capability and new services

Work with stakeholders to ensure solutions are supportable and documented.

Experience/ Skill and Qualification Required

You'll need to have:

5 or more years of relevant work experience.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Experience in architecting, designing, implementation of Cloud based infrastructure and its solutions that are suitable for the hosting of Australian Government classified information.

Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP or Azure, including multi-cloud solutions and virtualisation solutions such as VMware and Nutanix

Evaluating requirements and recommend best fit technical solutions

Providing solutions for migration and transformation to cloud services

Extensive knowledge on Cloud based deployment framework and methodology using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS Beanstalk including autoscaling and highly available architecture

Contributes to the Solution Design for large and more complex solutions, ensuring an acceptable cost structure.

Design for enterprise-wide application architecture landscape including PaaS / SaaS platforms with Implementing & integrating on SaaS / PaaS platforms & RESTful APIs

DevOps - Infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines knowhow

Containers and serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, Lambda, ECS etc)

IT security tooling

Baseline and or NV1 clearance - This is a mandatory requirement.

Even better if you have:

A Bachelor's degree

Relevant Industry and technology Certifications will be highly desirable

Experience working with the Department of Defence or Defence Industries

Strong security background
