Senior Developer: Backend/Full Stack

Your role As a part of an agile team of software engineers delivering software with latest technology standards: • Design and implement new highly scalable system capabilities centered around Java based APIs and React based single page apps • Focus on engineering clean solutions reducing complexity, address technical debt and support cloud adoption • Enhance DevOps landscape through highly automated quality assurance, build, and deploymentrelated tool chains • Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into robust, well documented solution designs • Drive excellence and challenge the status quo by speaking up and communicating well both orally and written and with all stakeholders • Collaborate with your team members across locations to drive delivery • Share knowledge and experience fellow developers Your expertise • Excellent understanding of modern web application development • 6+ years of experience in software engineering with Java • Expertise across the entire technology stack of Java Backend development, such as: o JAVA 1.6/1.8/11 o Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC o JSP, Struts v1.0 o JPA, Hibernate o Maven o Client DB, PL/SQL • Deep understanding of frontend development technologies, tools, and libraries, such as o HTML 4/5 o Angular v1, jQuery • DevOps experience, specifically with Git (Gitlab or similar), build and deployment pipelines. • Proficiency in Linux operating system, specifically Bash shell scripts, Cron jobs, and traditional programs (gzip, sed, grep, etc.) • Familiarity with Web components, Microfrontend architecture • Agile Experience, ideally worked as scrum master • Inquisitive personality with the ability to convey technical ideas and concepts to all audiences as well as the confidence to challenge effectively • Excellent verbal and written communicator with attention to detail and a flair for complete yet concise documentation • Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and solution delivery lifecycle. • Highly committed, self-reliant contributor with a positive attitude, high ambitions and an interest in the future of Finance Technology • Experience with financial instruments and market data is a plus Job type: Contract Division: eTeam Workforce Limited Reference: 22-02212
