Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Job Purpose and primary objectives: Software Development

Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team): Will be working as lead developer on customer projects alongside other team members consisting of Product Owner, Scrum Master, Technical Architect, Developers and DevOps.

Key Skills/Knowledge: Essential skills and experience:

Excellent java development skills (Java 11.0 preferred) and a strong track record of designing, developing, delivering, testing and optimising java applications for public use.

Experience of developing applications and/or software libraries for specific use within public cloud services

Experience of working with an iterative, Agile approach to service delivery and being able to apply the Agile philosophy to your day-to-day work

Experience delivering fully unit/integration tested code as part of a continuous build and delivery pipeline

Ability to produce clear technical documentation and ensure appropriate and timely knowledge transfer

Evidence of the ability to plan, manage and take responsibility for your own work

Nice to Have:

Experience of relevant cloud technologies, such as AWS, Terraform, Docker

Experience of working with MongoDB/Other Databases

Familiarity with the Government Service Standard

Experience required: 8-10 years Java development experience. Strong Java11.0 skills preferred.

Duration of the Assignment: 12-24 Months
