About the role
Job Title: Senior Network Admin Analyst
Location: Etobicoke, ON (M8V 1Y7)
Duration: 7 months contract
NOTE: Some days may be needed at Union Station in Toronto.
Job Description:
Provides specialized expert level support in the role of subject matter expert to the network components of the VIA Rail technology environment including LAN, WAN and WiFi capabilities.
Participates and leads in the implementation and design of new networking infrastructure and capabilities with our integrators and partners.
Provides networking support to other technology implementation projects and supports other less senior resources.
Main deliverables to be completed:
Drive partners and integrators to deliver results
Provides tier III monitoring and support services to the VIA Rail networking infrastructure
Design and plan network infrastructure components
Provide technical mentorship to more junior resources
Troubleshoots complex networking issues
Supports and leads network design and configuration activities
Provides quality assurance to work performed by other resources
Plans patches and configuration updates to network and security infrastructure components
Provides networking support to infrastructure projects
Monitors and analyzes bandwidth utilization on an ongoing basis
Available for on call rotation

Essential skills and experiences:
Experience deploying, managing SDWAN solution, WAN, LAN, WiFi
CCIE or similar
Cisco, F5, Palo Alto certifications a plus
Solarwinds
Netflow
WireShark
Bilingual (French & English), oral and written
Able to document
Coordination (TELCOs, integrators)
Results-oriented
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM)
Understanding of ITIL processes
REQUIRED - ESSENTIAL:
Experience deploying, managing SDWAN solution
Experience deploying, managing WAN/LAN
Experience deploying, managing WiFi
Certication: CCIE or similar
Expertise with CISCO (Router/switch/FW)
Expertise with F5
Expertise with PaloAlto
Bilingual (French/English)
Coordination expertise (Telco, integrator)
REQUIRED - DESIRED
Expertise with Solarwinds
Expertise with Netflow
Expertise with WireShark
Non-negotiable Skills:
