Design and implement embedded software solutions.

Maintenance and debugging of existing software.

Development of test harnesses and software for automated test equipment.

Ensuring that software development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.

Schedule own work to meet target timescales and budget demands.

Be an active team player, contribute to discussions and continuous improvement ideas.

Work closely with other teams, e.g. electrical, during solution development.

Actively participate in specifying solutions for business needs and contribute to the process of continual improvement, with regard to self, team and systems

Proactively report upwards to management and the business, so that they are informed of the work currently in development.

Implement team goals and objectives Work well under pressure, be flexible, positive & focused during times of change.

Preferred:

Demonstrable embedded C programming ability, preferably on TI microcontrollers

In-depth understanding of embedded systems and related protocols and technologies, e.g. CAN, SPI, RS-422..

Experience in other modern programming languages, preferably C#

Be comfortable using lab equipment such as debug probes and oscilloscopes.

Have a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle from design to deployment, including supporting in house and customer trials

Knowledge of software testing, static analysis and verification techniques

Microsoft Office tools; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project

Familiarity with PLM tools (TeamCenter) and the links to the ERP system (SAP)
