Job Purpose and primary objectives: Senior software developer will be an experienced developer in java and related technologies. They will be part of development team and contribute to Java application transformation to new technologies.

The role is responsible for Developing / writing Java code, analysing the change impact, supporting the development team in review and analysis, involving in application deployment activities

Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team): • Analyse the given technical requirement, assess the change impact

• Document the high level design capability and able to walkthrough to customers

• Developing / implementing efficient code

• Ensure best practise / industry standard are followed

• Review and debug code

• Develop unit test module and perform validation before the code release

• Automate tasks through appropriate tools / scripting

• Collaborate with other members in the development team and help in troubleshooting any issues

• Attend daily scrum meeting and provide update on the work progress and highlight any challenges

• Remediation of defects by liaising with Test Team

• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology development

• A strong ability to confidently and proactively manage senior and influential stakeholders

Key Skills/Knowledge:

• Atleast 8 years of hands-on development experience in Java & related technologies

• Good experience coding / development

• Knowledge on Agile /scrum methodologies

• Working in a challenging environment

• Strong analytical skills

• Good Communication and time management skills

Experience required:

• Experience in JEE / JSP / Servlets / EJBs / Spring

• Experience in RDBMS like DB2, SQL Server

• Experience in JEE application servers such as WebSphere / Open Liberty

• Experience in Devops tools (preferably Azure Devops & Pipelines)

• Experience in Microservices, Containers, Docker & Kubernetes

• Experience in HTML, Java Script, Jquery, CSS & Angular

• Experience in RESTful services / SOAP services / MQs

• Experience in Maven, Git

Duration of the Assignment: 12 to 18 months
