Senior Software Engineer

Department Description:

Design & Develop batteries, chargers & power supply for highly-sophisticated two way communication products used in professional & mission critical markets of the commercial, government & industrial segments.

Responsibilities

• • Specify, design, implement and validate embedded firmware on various micro controllers for chargers.

• • Specify, develop and implement software applications for test and production verification of batteries and chargers' performance.

• • Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options, offer suggestions to improve processes

• • Collaborate and add values through participation in peer design and code review, providing comments and suggestions

• • Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve product issues

• • Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements.

• • Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems

• • Serve as a mentor to less experienced software engineers

• Basic Requirements :

• • Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering/Telecommunications/Electronic. Masters degree preferred.

• • Minimum of 5 years working experience in related field.

• • Basic understanding rechargeable cell chemistry and its charging profile

• • Experience in embedded development for LiIon and NiMH chargers is a plus.

• • Fluent in software fundamentals including software design and maintainability

• • Basic understanding of embedded system architecture

• • Proficient in C, VB and Scripting Languages

• • Familiarity with Jenkins, Jira, Git, Agile Development Process is a plus

• • Test driven development and familiarity with developer driven automated testing is a plus

• • Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts.

• Budget available: RM12,000 per month (basic salary)
