About the role
Job Title: Senior Software Tester
Location: Remote/Luxembourg. 100% offsite with ad hoc possibility to work in the office (on-demand).
Duration: 220 days Contract + possible renewal
What will you be bringing to the team?:
Execute test activities, including design, case creation, execution, and defect management.
Ensure testing adheres to established processes, timelines, and documentation standards.
Collaborate with project managers, scrum masters, and stakeholders to estimate testing efforts and resources.
Monitor and report testing progress, providing metrics, key findings, risks, and recommendations.
Foster effective communication among developers, analysts, and business teams to align on requirements and objectives.
Identify and manage testing risks, implementing mitigation strategies throughout the testing lifecycle.
Contribute to team meetings, supporting the development of testing capabilities and defining test automation strategies, including tool selection and framework identification.
What do you need to succeed in this position?:
Higher education + Minimum 8 years of practical experience in the role of Tester for financial institutions/capital markets on software development projects
Profound knowledge of software testing principles, techniques, and methodologies, including both manual and automated testing approaches
Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools, such as ServiceNow or Azure DevOps.
Understanding the different phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and the pivotal role of testing in each phase
Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Demonstrated experience in effective stakeholder management.
Certification: International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification at Foundation level.
Excellent written and spoken English
Desired Skills (Advantageous):
Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts.
Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Funding and Asset Liability Management processes.
